2026 World Cup

The 2026 FIFA World Cup, marketed as FIFA World Cup 26, is set to be a historic milestone in football history. Scheduled from June 11 to July 19, 2026, this 23rd edition of the tournament will be the largest and most diverse ever.

Key Highlights

  • Three Host Nations: For the first time, the tournament will be jointly hosted by three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Matches will be played across 16 iconic host cities.

  • Expanded Format: The tournament is expanding from 32 to 48 teams. This means more nations will have the chance to compete on the world stage, resulting in a total of 104 matches.

  • Unique Groups: The teams are divided into 12 groups of four. The top two from each group, along with the eight best third-placed teams, will advance to a new Round of 32.
